The world's largest blast furnace - Sha Steel 5860 m3 blast furnace was blow-in and tap iron on October 21, 2009, this marks the "first blast furnace of the world" went to production officially- which is largest and most advanced technologically. Prior to Sha Steel, the largest blast furnace of the world is Oita No. 2 blast furnace Nippon Steel (5775m3).
Sha Steel 5800m3 BF project was designed by WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited, Row 6 to Row 10 were applied drilling & welding copper staves of Huaxing Company.
